Results and Findings-

Within a few hours, things changed around drastically. Guards who were at the authoritative position started harassing the prisoners. Prisoners were being insulted constantly, various temporal punishments were imposed by the guards for the prisoners who weren’t obeying the orders, those prisoners who rebelled were being stripped naked.

Special privileges are provided to the prisoners who weren’t creating any troubles, there was a separate cell for all those prisoners which they named it, “Privilege Cell.” Privilege includes, They are allowed to wash their hairs, brush their teeth, eat their favorite food.

Professor Zimbardo ends the experiment on August 20 as some of the inmates were getting distressed and losing control. One of the prisoners, prisoner number.819 broke down and lost his real identity, the professor had to intervene and prompt him he is not a real prisoner he can leave the prison experiment in midway. Many prisoners suffered a traumatized experience. 

The study received flakes and criticism for several reasons. Professor Zimbardo had no idea how the experiment will turn out to be, her colleague who later became his wife, questioned his morality and conscience.

52 – The Bystander Effect

We have read currently in news and articles about where a person met with an accident someone and no one came forward to help, people started to record the video instead. While we are debating how people lack empathy and technology savvy humans are instead of helping someone at the time of distress prefer to post the video and pictures on various social media platforms.

What if I tell you when there was no internet or mobile phone and people were still the same? You wouldn’t believe it. Let’s talk about the most notorious and brutal murder of “Kitty Genovese” which took place at Queens, New York in 1964. 

Late at night, Kitty was on her way back home after work around 3’o clock, when she walked towards her apartment and saw a man standing in the dark ally closer to her apartment, Kitty started to run as she felt something isn’t appropriate but before she makes it to the entrance of the apartment, the mugshot appears from the dark ally and stabs her, Kitty cried for help but no one came to rescue her. Kitty barely survived with injuries died on the spot. A neighbor called the police around 4:00 am.

51 – Mystery of MH-370

Mysterious, costliest search and Malaysian airline, if it doesn’t ring a bell to you then you must be living under a rock. On 8th March 2014, Malaysian airline flight MH-370 departed from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing but it never landed at the Beijing airport. Last communicated words by the pilot to the control room were “Good night, Malaysian 370” and within a few minutes later, all the communication and transponder devices went off and Flight disappeared from the radar.

A total of 227 passengers was on board and 12 crew members. The search for the missing plane began as no one had the idea of flight’s last location it was hard to track search started from Cambodia to Vietnam, South China to the peninsula sea. Many things went wrong with the search which made it the most disastrous incident. 

Malaysian aviation was unable to trace and track the location of the missing flight.
Prime Minister, Najib Razak avoided media briefings and questions for almost a week in spite of being a Prime Minister of the country.
Australia and the US government came forward to help the Malaysian government but instead of telling all the real facts and reports the Malaysian government tried to hide the real reports, which led it to be the costliest search from different islands to countries without following a single trace of the missing flight.

50 – O la, la, la no more Fly Low

Formerly known as one of the largest airlines of India, Kingfisher established in 2003 owned by the parent company United Breweries group. Kingfisher Airlines enjoyed an equitable share of profit till 2011. Ever since the company started its business it wasn’t making any profits.

The situation became terrible in 2007 when the owner decided to buy Air Deccan which was already in a loss and after the collaboration company unable to come back in the market. Kingfisher was a 5-star airline provided tremendous services at cheap prices which aren’t a smart thing to do for a debt-ridden airline.

Jet fiasco is similar to what happened with kingfisher but for Jet, there is a ray of hope for survival still the future looks grim. Jet owes around 8,000 crores to different stakeholders, Jet was unable to pay the salary of the employees, pilots, and hostess. Dozens of Jets were seized by the lenders, Jet started experiencing trouble when the CEO Naresh Goyal decided to buy Air Sahara for $500 million in cash which was similar to what Vijay Mallya did it was the nail in the coffin as jet faced massive loss, fluctuating crude price, underestimating the competition led to the fall of Jet airways.

49 – Indestructible Story of Nokia

Nokia started in 1865, in Finland. 150 years in the business, Nokia started as a pulp mill dived into the business of flexible cables and rubber, the company never shied away from adopting the change.

From telecommunication to electronic Nokia outperformed in every business, wherever they stepped their foot in, in 1984 Nokia Mobira talk man first transportable phone of the world which one can use on the go but it was costly and considerably heavier to carry weighing almost 10 kg.
After a few tweaks, in 1987 Nokia was able to launch a less heavy phone which was cost around $5,000 phone became overnight hit when people saw a picture of the president of the Soviet Union using it for making a call, in the newspaper.

In 1991, Nokia goes all out and decide to focus on the phone and telecommunication started releasing different GSM mobile phones with the famous Nokia ringtone and talk time. In the year 1998, the company surpassed Motorola and became the number one mobile manufacturer.

Nokia enjoyed a fair share of success, things went downhill when all the emerging players adapted the new “Android” which was much better than the Nokia’s OS, and Nokia’s CEO stubborn attitude who decided to stick with windows software. Nokia adhered to keep it simple for users and that when they let the innovation to take the backseat and lagged.

48 – Smart Samsung

According to Interbrand’s “Best Global Brands” of 2019. Samsung ranked at number six. Samsung is a South Korean conglomerate company founded in 1938 by Lee-Byung Chul, Headquartered in Seoul.

Samsung is one of the largest producers of electronic devices, and just like Nokia which started as a pulp mill. Samsung started as a trading company diversified its business from Insurance to retail, securities and construction.

In the year 1969 Samsung entered the electronics market producing black and white television sets. Samsung is well known for its Research and development in the year 1980 Samsung started investing in R&D, Samsung started to expand its business from Korea to the countries like England, China and now reached across the world in 80 different countries.

Not everyone knows or aware of Samsung as a construction branch, Samsung has built some of the famous Skyscrapers Petronas towers of Malaysia, Tallest skyscraper which is located in Dubai, Burj Khalifa. 

The first speech recognition phone was developed by Samsung, Samsung never stops innovating. We are talking about smartwatches, and companies are introducing different smartwatches with a new feature every day, In the year 1999 Samsung was the only one who launched the world’s first phone watch Samsung SPH- WP10 with 90 minutes battery and you can do basic calls and navigate menus through physical buttons.

47 – Tweetchat

This week, my group mates and I hosted a tweet chat session through SocilaPowWow. We have invited Mr. Aseem Sood for our Tweet chat host. Aseem Sood is a CEO at Impact Research and Measurement Company and he is also Director and Fellow, AMEC which is The International Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communication.

Incredible India, India is known for its diverse culture, democracy, different spoken languages, dialects, and Indian cuisines. Each region offers mouth-watering dishes let’s dive into some of the states which are known for its food.

Punjab- Punjab is famous for “Golden Temple” and “The land of Five Rivers”, Beas, Jehlum, Chenab, Ravi, Sutlej. When you talk about food, you have to talk about Punjab. There is a famous saying in which Punjabis use “Makke di Roti Sarso da Saag”.

Wheat, Rice and diary products are majorly produced in Punjab if you are in Punjab your day will start with A full glass of Lassi or Lasso which is sweet curd.
Punjabis are known for high-calorie food, A normal Punjabi meal includes Parathas different type of parathas.

Some of the notable dishes are Butter Chicken, Dal Makhni, Makke di roti sarso da saag. Punjabi food is also widely popular all over the country because roadside dhabas which can be easily found in every high way.

Bihar is most famous for Litti-Chokha and Sattu.
Sattu is a powdered bake gram that anyone can eat by mixing water or milk it is extremely healthy and can be an alternative of corn flakes.

Most of the cuisine varies regionally, but MP is known for Dal – Bafle, and Poha, whereas Poha is a healthy breakfast which is flattened rice can be served with chopped onions and namkeen sev. Indore is a city located in the heart of Madhya Pradesh is known for its street food, there is a famous place in Indore Sarafa where you will get to taste various delicacies, Sarafa open’s at 12 o clock midnight to morning 5 o’clock.

Dal-Bafle is ghee filled wheat cake steamed and grilled and served with Daal and laddu.

Tamil Nadu
Idli- Sambhar, Menduwada, Masala Dosa, Food serve on banana leaves is part of their culture. Tamilians prefer to consume rice over chapati, Just like MP, Tamil Nadu cuisines vary from region to region, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka.

Chaat- is originated from Uttar Pradesh, it is a most famous dish and reached to many parts of India as street food and it is widely popular in Indore, Delhi.

According to the Forbes report 2019 of the most valuable brands, Apple stands at the top.

Apple is a giant company headquartered in California. Apple established in the year 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronal Wayne. In the year 2019 Apple became the world’s first company to cross $1 Trillion company, the story of Apple is as astonishing as it can be with the innovative products apple progressed rapidly.

Apple started selling its first hand build computer-Apple I, as a startup Apple needs funding which was hard to find back then when there wasn’t a startup culture, Mark Markkula American business, the investor decided to back Apple. In the year 1977, Apple introduced Apple II and Apple III, revenue started to grow exponentially as Apple provided VisiCalc which was the world’s first killer app which was widely appreciated by corporates as it can help to do tedious tasks without many efforts.

In the year 1980 Apple released Apple III. IBM and Microsoft were already giving a fierce competition to Apple. Then there comes a revolutionary Ad of The Macintosh which was the most user-friendly computer, it went on sale in the year 1984, Apple sold 69,000 Units of its widely appreciated Ad of Macintosh.
